朋友們，上個禮拜有機會去了頭成看中元節的由來的搶孤活動。Wikipedia
說：
“搶孤是先搭設十幾公尺高的「孤棚」，上層再搭「孤棧」，並在上頭擺放供品以及旗幟，而棚柱上塗滿牛油，整隊八人中六人為先發，以底座人撐起其他三位隊員及攻擊手完成任務，想要憑己力爬上孤棚並不容易”

看搶孤讓我想起了在拉丁美洲，在墨西哥，有一種活動很像搶孤啊，也很傳統。從2009年是非物質文化遺產。有一點不一樣的墨西哥的活動是白天開始，搶孤晚上11點開始。
I went to the big event in Toucheng of the end of the "Ghost Month", it was celebrated this year on Sept 12th. It was really interesting to see all the teams climbing trough a greasy bamboo tree trunk to end up cutting the top leaves of it. The meaning is related to the ascendance of ghosts or souls to the sky. This reminds me the "Voladores de Papatlan" = "the men flyers from Papatlan"Aztec celebration, in Mexico, also with high tree trunks and climbers, and where the participants jump from the top and make circles on the air until they reach the floor. This tradition is classified as Unesco world cultural heritage. This made me think, not matter how far we are, there are always common points from one culture to another. At the end, we are not so different as we suppose. So far, so close.
